Outdoor Adventures

Venture out into the majestic nature of the Northwest and take advantage of the numerous opportunities for exciting adventures. Bike along the Pacific Coast Byway or ride on riverside paths and mountain trails. Hike past old-growth forests and ancient lava fields on your way through the incredible scenery of the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail. Grab your binoculars and watch Great Blue Herons, Yellow-Headed Blackbirds or Great Horned Owls in their natural habitat. Hop on the Oregon Skyway Gondola and enjoy panoramic views of the Cascades and mountain lakes as you ride to the top of Eagle Peak.

The diverse geography of this region allows visitors to enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities ranging from snow skiing or snowboarding at the summit of the Cascades to riding dune buggies or taking part in the unique sport of sandboarding on the dunes at the central coast.
