Community Tours, Events and Activities
During Olympic Trials and Eugene 08 Festival

Eugene, Ore. - The Convention & Visitors Association of Lane County Oregon's (CVALCO) next Tourism Forum will feature an information exchange session focused on community-wide events, activities and tour opportunities available to visitors during the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field competition and Eugene 08 Festival June 27 through July 6, 2008.

The Forum will be held Tuesday, April 1, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., at the Hilton Eugene & Conference Center.  The Forum will focus on things visitors can enjoy throughout Lane County while in the area for the Olympic Trials and Eugene 08 Festival. CVALCO will share information about off-site tour packages, while a variety of other organizations and city entities will talk about special activities and events planned during the Olympic Trials time period.

Guests include members from the Long Tom Country Trail, Oregon By Kayak, the City of Cottage Grove and the City of Eugene.  Other businesses and organizations planning special offers, events and activities, or anyone interested in forming partnerships for package development, are encouraged to come and participate.

CVALCO will be creating literature on community tours, events and activities to be distributed to visitors during the Olympic Trials and Eugene 08 Festival and posting offers and events at www.VisitLaneCounty.org.

The cost of the Forum breakfast is $12 for CVALCO members (pre-paid), $15 for nonmembers and at the door.  For more information, or to RSVP for the breakfast, contact CVALCO at (541) 484-5307.
